Website consulting services

Website consulting for a site that should be doing more.

We review what you have, explain what's holding it back, and give you a prioritized plan you can act on with us or anyone else.

An expert website review and a clear plan

A website can look polished and still quietly fail. Visitors arrive and leave. Search engines can’t tell what the business does. The contact form works, but nobody fills it in. Our website consulting services start where most designers stop: with the content, the structure and the setup sitting behind the design.

Signs you need a second opinion

  • The site looks fine but rarely produces calls or inquiries.
  • You’ve added services over the years and the site never caught up.
  • You built the site yourself, or with an AI tool, and you’re not sure what it’s missing.
  • Your developer has gone quiet and you don’t know what state the site is in.
  • You’re planning a redesign and want to know what to keep before you spend money.
  • You got busy, and the site has been running on autopilot ever since.

How the review works

1. Complimentary first conversation

We learn about your business and goals and decide together whether a review makes sense. This conversation is complimentary.

2. Agree the focus

We agree which parts of the site and which questions matter most to you, so the review spends its time where it counts.

3. The review

We go through the site page by page: what it says, how it’s organized, how search engines read it, and how it’s set up behind the scenes.

4. Walkthrough

We sit down with you, explain what we found in plain English, and answer every question you have.

5. Your plan

You get a prioritized list of what to fix first, what can wait, and what to leave alone. The plan is yours to keep, whoever carries it out.

What we look at

  • Messaging: does each page say what you do and who it’s for
  • Page hierarchy and navigation
  • Headings, page titles and meta descriptions
  • Sitemap and indexing basics
  • Duplicate or competing pages
  • Contact forms and calls to action
  • Domain, email and DNS setup
  • Platform, plugins and security basics
  • Google Business Profile status

What you walk away with

  • Plain-English findings for each important page
  • A clear view of whether to fix the current site, restructure it or start again
  • Quick wins you can make right away
  • Notes your own team or another provider can work from
  • Answers to the questions you brought to the first conversation

The walkthrough is where a long list of problems becomes a short list of decisions. You leave knowing what matters, what doesn’t, and what to do first.

Who this isn't for

If you’re after an automated score, there are plenty of tools for that. Our review comes from a person who has to explain and stand behind every recommendation.

Questions clients ask

Is the review only about design?

No. Design is one part. What holds a site back often sits in the words, the page structure and the setup, so that’s where we spend much of our time.

Do I have to hire you to make the changes?

No. The plan is yours. You can use it to brief your own team or another provider.

Can you review a site that isn't built on WordPress?

Yes. Content, structure and search basics apply to any platform. If the platform itself is part of the problem, we’ll tell you.

What do you need from me?

Access to the site if you have it, a list of your services, and an honest picture of what’s working and what isn’t.

Will you tell me if my site is fine?

Yes. If the site is in good shape, we’ll say so and point out the few changes worth making.
